"Midnight Sun"

F.Cuz has come to my attention and they're pretty good. :]
Here's there new song "Midnight Sun"
My favorite is the maknae, Yejun.
I like how his name is so close to Suju's Yesung. :D
Next favorite would be Kan, but I liked him blonde...

(I forgot my pw for my new blog >.< So I'll be here temp.)

It's almost Halloween! Rainie wants to go as Pikachu and think Sunnie should go as Yuna from Final Fantasy. But Sunnie think Halloween is not for cosplay... PSH! Then what is everyone else doing? Being themselves? Didn't think so.... Hmph.

cosplay- a type of perfomance art in which participants dress in costumes to represent a specific character or idea

(Hopefully Sunnie won't read this......)

So....

it's been a while....
Well, I'm sorry. School's been very busy and stressful. I've recently watched 2ne1's MV's (Can't Nobody, Go Away, Clap Your Hands) and they are all so badass! ;D I love CL! She's not the prettiest but I think she's cool. :]

Boy's Over Flower's Koo Hye Sun and Fahrenheit's Wu Zun to star in the Taiwanese version of the Japanese manga "Zettai Kareshi" or "Absolute Boyfriend."
Rainie's Reaction: Another Wu Zun drama?? Dang, this boy's on a role! :] I hope he's not too busy and stressed with dramas (is also filming "Sunshine Angel" with Rainie Yang) and promoting Fahrenheit's new albulm and all. He's so cute..... But I'm glad this drama is FINALLY on the roll! It's been rumored to be Jolin and Wu Zun for so long but now it's finally happening. Yay that it's still Wu Zun and hopefully Koo Hye Sun will be better in this than "Boy's Over Flowers".

Read more about it here: http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/732724-goo-hye-sun-and-wu-zun-to-star-in-taiwanese-remake-of-absolute-boyfriend/

SHINee's comeback due for October 4, 2010. New "Hello" MV teaser is out.
Rainie's Reaction: Yeaaaaah! ;D They look different again! And honestly, I have no idea who is who >.> I'm not much of a SHINee fan but I LOVE their music. No time to remember faces :] But I think they're all very attractive. ;P And in this teaser, they're all SO SO SO ADORABLE! I like the first two... if you know who that is email us @ wankyjanky@yahoo.com and tell us! ;D

Dropping Bye

Can't say much. Busy busy busy.

NEWS:

Charice to star in Glee as a possible singing rival to Lea Michele's Rachel Berry.
Rainie: I've seen the commercial, seems pretty cool. :] Glee back on September 21!

Raymond Lam beats Ethan Ruan, Mark Chao and Peter Ho for a part along side with Jet Li in upcoming Madame White Snake. Ethan Ruan and Mark Chao lost the part due to their lack of popularity in China. Peter Ho did not look the part therfore, Raymond was perfect.
Yay! Jet Li movie. :] The last one I've seen of his was Fearless. I've never seen Raymond Lam's dramas or movies or whatever before. According to Youtube's Bubzbeauty though, he's pretty hot? I think he's old though.... o.O

Hunan TV to remake Korean drama "You're Beautiful"
**** yes! :] But it's probably not going to be as good.... I'm not a fan of modern time Chinese dramas, I like the Wuxia ones A LOT but the modern ones are ehhhh. :/

Top Combine is coming over to the United States due to their second albulm.
Cooool! :] I like Top Combine.

Zhang Zi Yi's American Mulan movie, "Heroic Woman" is not set to have Leehom Wang but Jerry Yan instead.
I don't really know about Leehom Wang except that he's American baha, but I like Jerry Yan. :]

Fahrenheit's new music video was based on Kevin Costner's & Whitney Housten's "The Bodyguard." It stars Patty Hou and Wu Chun. This is the first MV to have Wu Chun be the lead of the MV.
Wu Chun is yumyumyum. Getting old though... >.> And my goodness, Patty Hou is so pretty. D; I, Rainie, am very jealous. This song's very different from "Super Hot" thank goodness. At least for me because I didn't like that song. This song's is sooo much more Fahrenheit sounding. :] I honestly don't think the music video fits. >.> I mean the song is all happy sounding and the MV is until the part where the stalker attacks her.... Buuut, I do like like like the ending. :]

Sunnie and Rainie apologize for the lack of blog. School is extremely busy going.
Rainie is working hard on reviews though! Don't worry. :P
Rainie has this song stuck in her head and she thought she'd like to share......

Ouran High School's FINAL Chapter D;

Is coming soon! D; I can't wait yet I don't want it to end. :(
I also would like to apoligize for the hiatus. School's been busy and PSAT'S are coming so yeah.
I have soooo many dramas to finish which is a problem because I forgot almost everything that has happen. >.> Cinderella's Sister videos were taken off so sucks to be me huh? And My Girlfriend Is a Nine Inch Tail Fox (or something like that....idr.) doesn't have english subs yet so I'll wait. I also want to watch Mischievious Kiss. ;D
Anywhooo, peace! I promise to have reviews on the site reaaaaal soon.
And have a wonderful 3 day weekend. :]

Bye Bye Summer

Summer's coming to an end D; Rainie and Sunnie have school tomorow.

Rainie's Reaction: AHHHH! ;D It wasn't my favorite manga but any manga I'm familiar with that will be made into a drama or live action film is good news to me. :]

SNSD's Japanese album debut to be on September 8
Rainie: I looked up SNSD members profiles and they pretty much all can speak 2-4 languages. >.> *jealous* Anywhooo, I don't really listen to JPOP but maybe I'll check SNSD out. :]

Taiwanese Idol Dramas Suffer Low Ratings
Rainie: Awww. :[ Maybe because none of the idol dramas on are very good... not that I would know. I've only seen the first episode of Summer's Desire because I wanted to see Huang Xiao Ming ;D

Korean Drama "Personal Taste" To Air After "Summer's Desire" In Taiwan
Rainie: ..... ;D I haven't finished watching PT yet but I like it.

Upcoming CCTV youth drama to start Lee Ku, Michelle Wai, Deep Ng, Super Junio's Heechul and Super Junio M's Zhou Mi.
Rainie: Heechul... which one is that one? o.O I like Zhou Mi thought :D

Rainie here and I'm glad to announce that there will be a new blogger joining Wanky Janky! :]

Wow..... that was beautiful.
Stick around lovely readers! :]

Water for Elephants- Sara Gruen

Rating: 4.75

Product Description:
When Jacob Jankowski, recently orphaned and suddenly adrift, jumps onto a passing train, he enters a world of freaks, grifters, and misfits, a second-rate circus struggling to survive during the Great Depression, making one-night stands in town after endless town. A veterinary student who almost earned his degree, Jacob is put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie. It is there that he meets Marlena, the beautiful young star of the equestrian act, who is married to August, the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. He also meets Rosie, an elephant who seems untrainable until he discovers a way to reach her.

Beautifully written, Water for Elephants is illuminated by a wonderful sense of time and place. It tells a story of a love between two people that overcome incredible odds in a world in which even love is a luxury that few can afford.

So I finally read this!! Again, a book with many recommendations that I doubted. I had read this book about two years ago- and got to chapter 2 before having to stop. ^.^ I was also spurred by the fact that in April of 2011 a movie based off this book will come out. Oh! Did I mention that Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon will be starring in it? ;DD

Anywho, so I read chapter 1, and I remembered why I stopped reading it, because it flashes between Jacob's ninety (or ninety-three) self and his twenty-one year old self. And when his ninety (or ninety-three) self narrates I got sooo sad. It can be a pretty sad book and because the narrator is a boy, it can be gritty in the way that boy narrators usually can. However! The story had such wonderful moments, and such a pleasantly surprising ending that it turned out pretty great. I loved that the story showed the harsh conditions of an otherwise enchanting event- the circus.

~Sunnie

You're beautiful ;D

I'm almost finished with the drama! I have like seven more minutes to go. :] I feel so sorry for Shin Woo and when Jeremy was crying it was so sad. D; And I doni't think anyone else knew that Jeremy liked Mi Nam either. This drama has definately made my top list. :] Speaking of that, I need to revise it. Anywhoo, I'm working on the site. :] I think I'm going to just link stuff here to there so it's more organized. The labels aren't really helping I think. Toodles!

NEWS

Fated To Love You will be made into an anime. Estimated release year is 2012.

Rainie's Reaction: Yay? That's what I thought until I saw the characters animated. Ew... >.> The Xin Yi's okay but the Cun Xi is just ech. Not that the art is bad or anything, I'm just not a big fan of Anime in general. (Other than Ouran High ;]) But yay! Ethan Ruan has shown interest in voicing his character, it's be cool if Joe Chen will do the same for her character. :]

Wanky Janky The Website

is almost open! :]] Hopefully by 2011 it will be ready for the public. Which is the amazing people like you.Well, I'm incredibly depressed and pissed as of right now. Manga scans are being removed from the internet as we speak. D; I guess you'll find me at Barnes & Noble hogging the manga section a lot now. *sigh* So right now I'm cramming to do some last minute reading. Unfortunately a lot of mangas have been cut. I just want to get Skip Beat and Absolute Boyfriend done. My dear Vampire Knight and Special A and so much more sadly will be long forgotten by I. D; Darn...Anyways,
Current Dramas I'm Watching Right Now:
My Lucky Star
Return of the Condor Heroes 2006
You're Beautiful (Yay! I can finish it now :])
On Hold:
They Kiss Again
P.S. Man
Personal Taste
Summer's Desire
Next Up:
Undecided baha. I'll probably just finish those on hold. ;P
I recently finished watching My Bratty Princess and review on that later. Actually, I need to post a lot of reviews. Reviews are also being moved to the site btw. This is strictly just be a blog for me to chill with you. ;]
NEWS (Some will be old. Sorry!)
(All news can be found on AsianFantics.net. All credit goes to them.)
Leehom Teaches Usher Chinese
Apparently Usher was in Beijing. I'm not a fan of Usher so idk baha. Well so Leehom Wang (not a fan of him either) taught Usher to sing in Mandarin.
Rainie's Reaction: Cool? Lol, idc. ;P
Wu Chun has not dated for 14 Years
So Fahrenheit's Wu Chun has not dated for 14 years though there were rumors about him dating his costars Ella Chen, Angela Zhang and etc.
Rainie's Reaction: o.O I don't believe him baha. I mean c'mon.... that means he hasn't dated since he was....like 16? Rainie Yang better not change thing. (not a fan of her either. despite the same name thing.)
I'm still waiting for the Skip Beat drama. Rumored cast is Ariel Lin as Mogami and Jerry Yan as Ren. Super Junior's Donghae is also on the list. (I'm betting that he'll be Sho. & I bet my sister's really happy.) Joe Cheng and Super Junior's Choi Siwon are also on the list as Ren. And my fear.... the show has been rumored to be cancelled. >.> Wt!@#$% I mean didn't they hold a conference in Japan already. >.> Please be false. D;

The Reckoning- Kelley Armstrong (Darkest Powers #3)

Rating: 4

This book was way too, too short. But then again, what final book of an amazing series is ever long enough?

Loved the previous two books, loved this book, and I cannot wait for The Gathering!! Looks just as great. Kelley Armstrong's books I will definately be keeping tabs on! ONE thing I didn't like about this book....I mention at the bottom for those who want to stay spoiler-free!

All in all, I thought it was an incredible ending and din't seem to disappoint like final books seem to be doing lately.

Ok so I thought it was kind of sudden how confident Derek became when he tried kissing Chloe. I understood how it mentioned he was tentative and seemed to be asking her permission when they were reading the emails but....I don't know. I guess I kind of expected a whole speech where tells Chloe how much their relationship would have meant to them. >.> unless that would have been too cheesy.

But honestly, Chloe's moment with Derek when he finally changed was AH-DORABLE (to quote the Clique). So cute that Derek couldn't even walk >.< !!!

Have I mentioned I can't wait for The Gathering?

P.S. Notice no description? I didn't want to spoil it for anyone who was being introduced into the series by this review. Ergo, I love that word :), I won't be posting any descriptions if it's not the first in the series

Happily yours

Fanstatics Classics Getting-Through-Them- All Summer Challenge #2!

'K, so I finished Phantom of the Opera!!.....and it took me two and a half weeks to read. Hopefully you guys can now see why I chose only 4 books for the entire summer break.

Anywho, the book was really surprising. As in so, so, so much different than the movie (the one with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler). It is a mystery to me above anything else so it was full of "What the devil is going on?" So I thought it was okay. Definately was perfectly creepy though.

One thing that bothered me was that the only description I got about the phantom was fiery eyes, no nose, and the feel of death about him. O.o If I hadn't seen the movie then I would have said that he's just some kind of skeleton.

In the end, I still prefer the movie, I mean really, it's hard to compete with the music eh?

Now I'm off to capture Wuthering Heights, and maybe watch the PBS version of the movie. But just for the record, 1939 movie with was amazing. Mostly because of Laurence Olivier ;)

I Apologize

For the M.I.A. Would you believe me if I said I haven't used a computer since the end of May? Yeah, I'm typing funny now too D;

Anyways, I finished the following dramas so far:

Fated To Love You
Autumn's Concerto
Easy Fortune Happy Life
Prince Turn Into Frog
Hevenly Sword And Dragon Sabre 2003
The Myth (kinda. I only watched the beginning and end. ;P)
(and I'm working on finishing Down With Love and Miss No Good)

Currently Watching:
Down With Love
Personal Taste
You're Beautiful
Miss No Good

Plan On Watching:
P.S. Man (Sooooo excited to watch it!)
Summer's Desire

Planning On Finishing:
Devil Beside You
Brown Sugar Macchiato
ToGetHer
Meteor Garden

Reviews will probably come in a few months because that's when school starts. And when I have an excuse to use the computer. ;]

I've also been hooked on TW Variety Shows. Especially 100% Entertainment with Xiao Zhu (Show Lo) and Xiao Gui. They're quite amusing and it's nice to just watch Fahrenheit, Super Junior M and Lee Min Ho. Hehe,

Sorry for this blabber and lack of organization. Too lazy and I'm rushing.

NEWS
Rainie Yang and Wu Chun will be in an upcoming drama together. It's in production I believe and Rainie Yang plays a maid and Wu Chun plays an entrepreneur who goes bankrupt. It's called Sunshine Angel.

Rainie: Wooooot wooooot. Wu Chun = yummy. I'm not the biggest fan of Rainie Yang because I really only enjoyed HMS and kinda MNG. She's a great actress thought and Wu Chun's okay. I just kinda stare at him so it doesn't really matter to me if he's a good actor or not. >.> I hope they don't start dating or anything. I'd jump her. Just kiddddding. But seriously, please no.

The Skip Beat drama that has been "rumored?"/"confirmed?" is still going I believe. Ariel Lin might not get the role of the Kyoko but Angela Zhang (from Romantic Princess) might. [o.O Noooo, Ariel please. I love Ariel Lin. She's by far my favorite!] The role of Ren who is the male lead I believe, is rumored to be Jerry Yan [Yay!] but also rumored that it could be Wu Chun [yay!yay!] or memebers of Super Junior. [o.O] No news/rumors have been said about the actor to play Sho.

Rainie: It doesn't really matter who gets the male roles for me but please let Ariel Lin be Kyoko! Full of energy and entertaining to watch. I love Skip Beat and I don't want Angela in it. >.> Nothing against her, I just preger Ariel over her. Jerry would be an awesome Ren thought, dark and silent. Bahaha,

A remake of Princess Pearl has been confirmed. A change of plot is also confirmed by the author herself.

Rainie: Yay! I really ejoyed watching Princess Pearl even thought the third one was kinda crappy. But a remake's kinda dangerous because isn't Princess Pearl a classic? Vicki Zhou made her debut in this drama and honestly, I highly doubt any other actress is going to be able to pull off Xiao Yan Zi better or as good as Vicki Zhou. She was fantastic. The rest of the cast was good too. The third season isn't very liked because of the change of cast so a remake's pushing it. We'll see. :]

Random
So Ady An (Autumn's Concerto) new dramas The Water Margin and Journey to the West are upcoming. And I want to watch them. What a coinkidink though is that He Zhuoyan is in Journey To The West. Huan Xiaoming is in The Water Margin. He Zhuoyan and Huan Xiaoming were both in Royal Tramp 2008 which happens to be my number two favorite drama of all time. What a coinkidink. Oh it was like when I was watching Down With Love and I was like that girl who plays that actress is sooo familiar and she turned out to be the girl who played Zhu Er in Hevenly Sword and Dragon Sabre. Hahahaha,

Oh and Huan Xiaoming is going to be in Flirting Scholar 2. Flirting Scholar 1 just happens to be one of my favorite Stephan Chow movies. Hahahaha, yay.

RAINIE'S FAVORITE DRAMAS OF ALL TIME

(The people in these are actors and actresses I like.)

10. Autumn's Concerto (Ady An & Xiao Xiao Bin! Woot woot!)
9. Personal Taste (Lee Min Ho! Woot woot! I like the famale lead lady too. Woot!)
8. Hi My Sweetheart
7. You're Beautiful
6. Down With Love (Xiao Xiao Bin & Jerry Yan! Woot woot!)
5. Princess Pearl (Huan Xiaoming's in the third one. Woot woot!)
4. Fated To Love You (Joe Chen & Ethan Ruan! Woot woot!)
3. Hevenly Sword & Dragon Sabre 2003 (Haven't seen the '08 one yet but Ady's in it. Woot woot!)
2. Royal Tramp 2008 (Huan Xiaoming! Woot woot!)
1. Condor Heroes 2008 (Hu Ge & Ariel Lin! Woot woot!)

I haven't seen Return of the Condor Heroes 2006 so it's not in the list. I've only seen the first three episodes but I liked it though. :] && P.S. Man and Summer's Desire are yet to be watched so Autumn's Concerto is dangling. I was surprised when I made my list though. AC used to be very high but then I stuck all the Wuxia ones in.

Wuxia dramas are my favorite btw. People flying with swords is cooool. ;]

Hope this makes up my MIA!
I was planning on reading Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice this summer too. Well I'm getting Pride and Prejudice in a little while but I might just watch Wuthering Heights movie. Hehe, Til next time, I'll be munching on my frozen Pocky's and reading Skip Beat & Ouran High School Host Club. Toodles.

Da duh dum

Wow, so I haven't really posted anything lately (much to the the chagrin of Rainie) and to get things moving along, I've decided to challenge myself with the Fanstatics Classics Getting-Through-Them- All Summer Challenge (oh, yeah pretty spiffy title huh? ^.^) Anyway, classics aren't really my type of reading but I promise I have tried. I've started Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen twice and The Scarlet Letter- Nathaniel Hawthorne, honestly, about three or four times. My crowning achievements (the books I've gotten through) are Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Oh yeah, extremely pathetic. So, this summer I'm going to make a list of books that I want to get through and read all of. So, my list:

  • The Phantom of the Opera- Gaston Leroux
  • Wuthering Heights- Emily Bronte
  • Fahrenheit 451- Ray Bradbury
  • Pride and Prejudice- Jane Austen

and if I have enough time,

  • Lord of the Flies- William Golding

By the way, this is in no particular order and if I honestly don't read and skip, I'll tell you. Wish me luck!

This drama's so good!

Ahhh, Easy Fortune Happy Life so far has been great! I'm only on the first two episodes but so far sooooo good. This was the drama I was originally going to start watching but Autumn's Concerto and other dramas distracted me. Hopefully there are other dramas like this coming out soon or already exist to keep me happy. :]] Really, I have a feeling that this drama might rank with AC and FTLY. Joe Chen has to be one of my favorite drama actresses. Gossip Girl season finale's tonight but I want to watch EFHP soooo bad. Must decide. For now, I'm going to catch some episodes of Laguna Beach. Baha,

PS. Haven't checked e-mails in forever. Don't take it personally. :]]

Currently Listening To: Replay- Shinee

Soooo

I finished watching Autumn's Concerto finally :]
I was honestly disappointed at the ending because I thought it would be something more dramatic but it was nice and happy.
Next I'm going to watch Easy Fortune Happy Life. :]
I can't decide if I like Fated To Love You or Autumn's Concerto more, they both had their ups and downs.
Oh, I just found out that Vanness Wu's new gf's name is Arissa. That made me laugh because Arissa's such a funny name. Just kidddding, I just happen to know someone named Arissa. :]
Hmm, you might too.... o.O
I also just found out Rainie Yang and Wu Zun are going to be in a drama together.
Rainie Yang better watch out cuz the only there's only one Rainie for Wu Zun.
>.>
Just kiddding, kinda. ;P

Hiatus

Yeah we're on hiatus. Sorry for the late notice. D;
Anywhooo, thought I should stop by.
Well I finished watching Fated To Love You, finally. ;P
On to Autumn's Concerto and Down With Love.
Blaghhh, I have a couple episodes left in You're Beautiful but I can't find one of good quality with english subtitles.
!@#$%^&*
Fated To Love You was amazing though. :] I'll review soon.
Oh, my meanie parents are watching Hu Ge's The Myth without me. D;
I really really really wanted tow watch that one.
Apparently it's all traditional so I wouldn't understand anyways, baha.
And apparently Super Junior's comback's in 11 days! :D
But only 10 members?! :[
I need to look into that, cna't always trust random Facebook stauses but this seems pretty accurates.
Anyways, cool.
Peace.
Until next time ;]

Bang!

Well Sunnie's in Cali so it's just me this week. :]
I actaully really like After School now, lmao. They kinda grow on you.
Anywhooo, updating three sites is a challenge.
If anyone just want to chat it up with me, e-mail me with your facebook.
I'll consider adding you. :p
Cool. Thanks.
What.A.Waste.Of.A.Post
D;
Honestly, I apologize.
As soon as summer hits I will try to watch/read more!

Nothing important...

I feel that I'm Asian-fying this blog too much with my Asianess. D; Not that it's a bad thing, I just don't know if Sunnie likes it. XD Sooo, I'm going to put up my first book review. Da da da dum!
And any blabber I have will fall under "Rainieosity". Updates concerning the site will be under "Updates" K, cool.

Oh dear

Random Picture Comment: I miss Autumn's Concerto. :/ FYI: Still have 2-3 more episodes to go.

It's been a while since I blog and I apologize! D; I've been rather busy and struggling in math. Well I haven't watched any dramas since my last update. I've only been re-watching some and currently re-watching Fated To Love You. Something I should put out there that for my part of the blog, it will no longer be strictly dramas/manga/books. I will be jabbing whatever I want in here. :] Anywhoo, I've lately added some new Kpop (new for me) songs into my iPod. I thought I should share. :]

-Big Bang- Lollipop 2
- Shinee- Noona Is So Pretty (Replay)
- SNSD/Girl's Generation- Run Devil Run
- B2st- Shock
& I'm too lazy to name off the rest. :D
For some reason, I do not like listening to DBSK or After School, KARA, T-ARA etc.
Maybe I just haven't been listening to the right songs...

For school, I am going to read Wuthering Heights. Blech, I do not like reading classics. I prefer the modern books. ;P

I haven't been watching this season's American Idol or America's Next Top Model. I usually watch every other season. XD I don't know why, maybe the lack of interest after a while. I also want to watch The Hills (Re-runs on the CW) but I'm at school during 3pm. Darn. Well Avatar the dvd is coming out soon and I've heard good things about so we'll see. I'm extremely picky when it comes to almost everything. Maybe I just have standards. Haha, just kidding. :]

There hasn't been a RAINIE VS SUNNIE in ages! Hopefully some new ones will be up. Okay, cool. Peace. XD

P.S.
I really want to watch
-Personal Taste -Lee Min Ho *drools*
-Cinderella's Sister

e-mail wankyjanky@yahoo.com if you're watching any of the two right now and share opinions. :]

Sorry if I don't reply, Yahoo isn't cooperating me.

READ UP VIEWERS

I'm not going to post any blogs unless there are actual people reading. I don't think there are many so let's do a test drive shall we?

e-mail

wankyjanky@yahoo.com

and say hi.

If I don't reply back, I did not get it.

Quick Update

I apologize for the MIA. Well, I've just gotten the Wii so hopefully watching dramas on the tv will be easier than the computer. Actaully, it's isn't. It's very poor quality. :/ Well, I started watching "The Myth" which is fairly good so far. Hu Ge's in it. ;] I've also started the "Vampire Academy" books (recommended by Sunnie) and it's really really good! I was actaully somewhat surprised because the beginning was very boring but it did get better. And because it's about vampire. >.> Twlight pretty much killed my opinions about vampires and this books does not do any better, but at least they don't gitter. ^^

Happy Note: Now if you are still looking for another wizarding/wiccan book, I highly recommend

  • Blue is for Nightmares series by Laurie Faria Stolarz

  • any of the books by Zoe Marriot

  • Immortals series by Alyson Noel
P.S. Happy Note will come after any book I give a 2 or lower. It is to just reccomend any books that might be more interesting in that genre.

Product Description:
Holly Cathers's world shatters when her parents are killed in a terrible accident. Wrenched from her home in San Francisco, she is sent to Seattle to live with her relatives, Aunt Marie-Claire and her twin cousins, Amanda and Nicole.

In her new home, Holly's sorrow and grief soon give way to bewilderment at the strange incidents goings on around her. Such as how any wish she whispers to her cat seems to come true. Or the way a friend is injured after a freak attack from a vicious falcon. And there's the undeniable, magnetic attraction to a boy Holly barely knows.

Holly, Amanda, and Nicole are about to be launched into a dark legacy of witches, secrets, and alliances, where ancient magics yield dangerous results. The girls will assume their roles in an intergenerational feud beyond their wildest imaginations...and in doing so, will attempt to fulfill their shared destiny.

Review:
The beginning was decent, I little confusing but with these kinds of books who isn't? It was in the beginning of the middle that the plot got interesting and so I continued... I reached the actual middle, and it was all downhill from there. It just became so vague and boring, I quit.

Remember, Holly is a newfound witch with absolute no advisor besides a women who practices voodoo and only enters the book toward the end! And somehow, Holly was able to fight a middle-aged wizard who has known his entire life of his powers. Also, the antagonist practices some dark magic by having to sacrifice a half dozen lady hawks. And you get six live hawks delivered to your house without anybody noticing how?

The only thing I think this book succesfully achieved was represent just how dark the witching business really is. Said hawks as a perfect example.

I thought it was a waste of my time and a terrible representation of the witching world. I feel for the poor soul who's first book about magic was this.

So I'm starting my first Korean Drama

(Listening To: "Oh!" SNSD)

I started my first Korean drama today. (First day of spring break.) Well technically it's my second because I've already watched the first twenty seconds of Boys Over Flowers. But shhh! Anyways, I want to start BOF after I'm done with Meteor Garden so I'm going to wait. Well I'm going to go watch You're Beautful/You're Handsome. So far I've only heard good reviews from other blogs and our very own readers. And so far I love it! ^_^

P.S. So JRP Entertainment is holding auditions for a 2nWonderGirls. The age requirements are 1987-1996. It would be so awesome if I suddenly turned skinny and pretty and had the ability to sing and dance overnight. ;P

Aurelia- Anne Osterlund

Aurelia- Anne Osterlund

Rating: 4
Product Description:

An impressive debut, equal parts commercial appeal and literary prowess.

Princess Aurelia is next in line to rule the kingdom of Tyralt, but she would rather be one of the common folk, free to learn and roam and . . . not marry the next tyrannical prince that comes courting. Naturally, the king wants Aurelia to marry for political power. Aurelia wants to marry for love. And someone in the kingdom wants her . . . dead. Assigned to investigate and protect Aurelia is Robert, the son of the king's former royal spy and one of Aurelia's oldest friends. As Aurelia and Robert slowly uncover clues as to who is threatening her, their friendship turns to romance. With everything possible on the line—her life, her kingdom, her heart—Aurelia is forced to take matters into her own hands, no matter the cost.

Review:

So I got this book last weekend and I knew this would be a spectacular one, so, I read all of my other books first (because if I read the good one first, I would just be rereading over it throughout the whole week- a pretty big no no if I actually want to get my other books read!) So, Wednesday night, I'm just starting to get the feel of the book when I read something that pokes at a memory... so I sit there thinking (*sarcasm* after all whenever I read or see something I have to find out what it is because it will always turn out into a life-changing revelation) and I could have sworn that I imagined this scene before! Disappointment creeps up my spine when I realize, making the top 5 on a Reader's Worst Nightmare list, that I read this book before. :(

I made a futile attempt to make absolute sure that I ever read this book by remembering a scene- and if it happened- I would quit. Twenty minutes later, guess what scene popped up?
Whatever, a day later, it doesn't bother me anymore. Much. Now for the actual review, I promise. There was a reason I was so excited about reading this book! Aurelia has many things I look for in a book:

  • intense plot
  • dashing love interest :D

  • good character development

  • finally, and usually a dealbreaker for me, a strong lead character. One that takes these challenges that life throws at them

This book had it!! Happy reading :)

(Random Picture Comment: They call her hamburger girl apparently... [From Black and White])

I really need to watch some dramas. Let me rephrase that. I really want to watch some dramas. Well no fear for next week it's spring break for me. ^^
Currently Needs To Pick Up With:

Beacause of You (Episode 4)
Autumn's Concerto (Episode 20)
Fated To Love You (Episode 22)
ToGetHer (Episode 11 [most likely droppping])
Meteor Garden (Episode 21)
Brown Sugar Macchiato (Penultimate episode)

NEWS:
The casting for Love Buffet's female lead has finally been announced. Black and White's Reen Yu to replace Joanna Zeng.

Rainie's (the blogger) Reaction:

Well Black and White's on my list to see so I don't know how this Reen Yu is like. I've only heard good things about her though so hopefully she's good? She's actually older than Joanne Zeng which makes me laugh because the rumors were that the director didn't want Joanne for the lead female role because she looked too old for Aaron Yan and Calvin Chen. Then again, those are just rumors. Joanne does look older though. >.> What a waste of money and filming though. :/ Hey, at least Aaron's in it... I'm fine. ^^

The Darkangel- Meredith Ann Pierce

The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce

Product Description:

But for Aeriel, whom he kidnaps to serve his brides, there is something about him--something beyond his obvious evil-- that makes her want to save him rather than destroy him.

Rating: 2

Review:
I always love me a good science fiction book, but this one either shows I'm not a true sci fi fan, or I'm way to much of a romantic (or I'm just a big critic but well..you know ^.^)

Anyway, like many more original science fiction books, this story covered a lot more on the plot than character development. ( Not that there weren't any. And vice versa sometimes with regular fiction books too!) It would say things along the lines of "She goes to the well to clean her injury, but it is hard." BOOM then it goes on to the next idea. This book didn't really have much details or- what I thought more important- character development! You really don't get to see the personality of the darkangel, other than that he is as beautiful as he is cruel.
I didn't really like it and probably won't continue this trilogy (sorry for those who actually liked it :(

Rainie (the blogger) Will Be Taking A Break

I've decided to take a break from watching dramas. I'm going to focus on school more and maybe finally read some books for a change. This break is planned to be for a few weeks or two but I'm already itching to watch some drama. Just a head's up! Well I'm off to watch Disney Channel's StarStruck starring Sterling Knight. Haha, I was told that this was a good movie. But judging on the trailer, it looks like Camp Rock which to me was a disappointment. Just saying.

P.S. I want to watch Xiao Xiao Bin's new drama "P.S Man" with Blue Lan! o.O Soooo cute!

So I Finally Watched AC 19

I've been putting off this episode for so long and have finally got the courage to watch it. Sigh. Autumn's Concerto is simply amazing. I can't believe the finale is coming up this weekend. I understand why Fated To Love You is the highest rated but Autumn's Concerto is just simply amazing. I dunno, my opinion changes everytime so I can't really rank them. I honestly want to learn how to play "Air On G String" on the piano. (Or violin.) This drama has a really special place in my heart just because. AC forever. :]

P.S I'm going to be sobbing when it's over, even if it has a happy ending.

NEWS: Rainie Yang was voted Sexiest Taiwanese star by men's magazine Complex magazine. The list consist of: Rainie Yang, Megan Lai, Joe Chen, Ariel Lin, Lin Chi Ling, Barbie Hsu, Angela Chang, Bianca Bai, Coco Chaing and Cyndi Wang.

Rainie's (the blogger) reaction: Wow, I believe that is big and strange news. Rainie Yang is really pretty but "sexy"? I suppose it was the cute and innocence look that they liked. Plus I'm very shocked that Jolin Tsai did not make it. Congrads to Rainie though! Her popularity it growing. :] Congrads to everyone!

Random: So I really want to watch the Mulan movie starring Zhou Wei (Vicki Zhou) and Chen Kun.

Updates: New post in Autumn's Concerto "Rainie's Drama Diary"

Cliche Dramas or No?

So today I watched two episodes of Because of You and I love Lego Li. :] Unfortunately, he plays the bad guy in this and Baron Chen is the lead. I honestly hope that this isn't a cliche drama where the lead female ends up with the male. I hope that they end up with who they like right now... not who they might develop feelings for.

So my question today is: Do you prefer cliche dramas where you know what will happen and just want to watch all the stuff they have to go through or not cliche dramas where there are many twists and turns?

SPOILERS AHEAD! (maybe)
Hopefully this won't be a spoiler but this is what I think will happen in the drama:

Somethings happens (like a misunderstanding) and Sun Fun and his girlfriend break up.
Sun Fun and Yu Yu Tong grow closer together.
Fang Zi Hao ends up liking Yu Yu Tong.
Sun Fun and Yu Yu Tong end up together though.

Maybe? Or maybe it will be how I want it...

Something happens (like a misunderstanding) and Sun Fun and his girlfriend break up and she goes with Fang Zi Hao.
Sun Fun and Yu Yu Tong plan to break Fang Zi Hao and Sun Fun's girlfriend up.
Fang Zi Hao ends up liking Yu Yu Tong and date.
Sun Fun and his girlfriend make up and get married.

But I know that it isn't going to happen like that. Sigh.

NEWS:
-Eunhyuk from Super Junior has the swine flu.
- Park Jaebeom will not be returning to 2PM
-Ethan Ruan's grandfather has passed away

Because of Lego Li!

(Random Picture Comment: You can kinda see the pairing... >.< )

I'm starting a new drama, a drama that I was sooo happy to find. :] Baron Chen and Lego Li (!!!) star in Because of You. I should be starting Boys Over Flowers but I'll postpone that. :] That's it. Hahaha.

P.S. The ending theme song Lego is singing is in Lotus Rain. Hahaha, good memories. :]

No more ISWAK for me

Yuuup, I finished watching ISWAK. :/ It was a nice ending but I'm still kind of depressed that it's over. Thank goodness for They Kiss Again. ;] That is the sequal to ISWAK by the way and I've heard that there's also a third and final one called They Kiss Again. But Ariel Lin has rejected the role which makes me really sad... but there might not even be a third one either. You never know with rumors... Anyways, ISWAK really did live up to all the reviews I've heard about it. Now I must go do a summary. Augh. I'll keep the drama diary on it because I've wasted so much time on it that it would be a shame if I just deleted it all. I'll finish up all the drama diaries for the dramas I've started doing them for and just not start a new one. :] Oh dear, I still have to watch episode 19 of Autumn's Concerto and it's already Wednesday! I'm soooo behind. Argh.

P.S. I really really really hope that Ariel Lin will take up ISWAK 3 and Extravagant Challenge. She's been working so hard though so it's totally understandable why she would take up these dramas. But in my dreams, she'd be the female role and Joe Chend would be the male role. :]

NEWS: So Calvin Chen's and Aaron Yan's upcoming drama "Love Buffet" is changing female roles? What? Joanne Zeng or Qiao Qiao is the current female lead. Rumors have been flying that she looks too old for the two male leads. She is actually younger than the two Fahrenheit members too. (Strange...) The reason they came foward with for postponing the drama (other than the 88typhoon) was that Qiao Qiao's schedule met conflicts with Love Buffet's schedule. Hence they are now rewriting the drama and replacing the female lead.

Rainie's (the blogger) Response: Whaaat? Seriously? I've been waiting for this drama for quite some time now because I didn't feel like watching Momo Love. Qiao Qiao looks perfectly fine for the role and if there are schedule conflicts, they'd still be postponing due to the rewriting of the script. Excuses excuses... They probably want someone more famous for the role or something. Like having two Fahrenheit members not enough. Hmph. Haha, it's not like I need another drama to keep me away from schoolwork. :]

(&& wtf is going on with Summer's Desire? o.O)

DWL Refilming Ending?

(Random Picture Comment: Hehehe, I had to stick Jerry Yan in here. :] )

Okay so the pirated version of Down With Love has hit the internet when only two of the episodes had aired. Ella and Jerry have worked hard on this drama and they deserve high ratings. They are now set to refilm the ending which makes me very happy because I've read spoilers so now they're not spoilers.. :]

http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/712950-down-with-love-meets-with-piracy-issues-with-intentions-to-re-film-ending/

Ariel Lin is probably my favorite Asian actress. :] She isn't the best of anything but I just like her. And she's short so that makes me feel better about my own height. Haha. Well I've just found out she had to go under surgery! It was a success but I hope she recovers fully and successfully. :]

http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/712865-ariel-lin-survived-operation-which-took-her-off-air-for-months/

Well I watched episode 22 of Fated To Love You today. :] It's such a cute, funny and happy yet sad drama. I adore it. Anyways I'm also watching Meteor Garden as well. I'm on episode 16 right now, only four more episodes to go before I can review on it. :]

-Rainie

Confusion

Okay so Autumn's Concerto's episodes number is still TBA. I haven't watched episodes 19 yet so I'm very behind. I'm unsure what's going on because I'm not in tune with Autumn's Concerto upates. Sorry. :/ Ugh, I'm also very behind in a lot of dramas and schoolwork. D; Not the best time to start a new drama but I can't help myself!

Currently Watching:
- Meteor Garden (Episode 1)
- Down With Love (Episode 6 )

Put On Hold:
- Fated To Love You (Episode 22)
- Autumn's Concerto (Episode 19)
- Brown Sugar Macchiato (Episode ?[somewhere near the end])
- It Started With A Kiss (Last Episode
- MoMo Love (Episode 1)
- ToGetHer (Episode ? [somewhere near the end])
- Miss No Good (Episode ? [i just know i have two more episodes to go])

Right now the top TW Dramas are:
1. Autumn's Concerto (Of course ;P)
2. Hi! My Sweetheart (Yay!)
3. Momo Love (Blech. Okay.)

Meridian- Amber Kizer

Meridian- Amber Kizer

Product Description:

Half-human, half-angel, Meridian Sozu has a dark responsibility.

Sixteen-year-old Meridian has been surrounded by death ever since she can remember. As a child, insects, mice, and salamanders would burrow into her bedclothes and die. At her elementary school, she was blamed for a classmate's tragic accident. And on her sixteenth birthday, a car crashes in front of her family home - and Meridian's body explodes in pain.

Before she can fully recover, Meridian is told that she's a danger to her family and hustled off to her great-aunt's house in Revelation, Colorado. It's there that she learns that she is a Fenestra - the half-angel, half-human link between the living and the dead. But Meridian and her sworn protector and love, Tens, face great danger from the Aternocti, a band of dark forces who capture vulnerable souls on the brink of death and cause chaos.

Review:
So, pretty interesting intake on death. This book was overall pretty awesome with just but a few complaints. (what is this blog all about after all?) One, the main character never seemed to fully grasp the situation she was in! It was pretty much the climax of the book and she was still calling her mentor mental.
Second, either I was really tired when I was reading this but I was confused a lot. About none of the key points I assure you but about little things. He said, she said- when there are 2 guys and 2 girls in the room. I had no idea who was talking. Or the main character, Meridian, would reference back to a feeling that I never recalled having occured! For some of you, you don't really care- the point is across. But for me, I got a bit irritating.
Finally, when Meridian was practicing her "Fenestra's skills" there didn't seem to be any hard work. Or it at least wasn't described well. There were a couple of times where Meridian would get into some sticky situations while "helping someone cross", but when it was just her and her mentor working on seemingly simple tasks, it was a breeze! All those little tasks that are sweat- pouring for the character, enough that you quietly cheer them on because you both know that JUST as this is accomplished, it's one less hurdle in getting to that awesome power!!- it just wasn't there. I pity poor Eragon who struggled long and hard to simply lift up the little stone with his mind.
So yes, that last one was probably the biggest itch in the book but overall, the book was good, good. And I read that there will be a sequel out. Keep an eye out ;)

I've Never Watched Meteor Garden

Well today I watched more Down With Love. It's a really cute and funny series. I feel so dumb for saying I wouldn't watch it. If you like ISWAK I bet you'd like DWL too. :] Oh well today I started to watch Meteor Garden (just the beginning of episode 1) just so I can watch Jerry Yan and Vanness Wu. I plan to read the manga (Boys Over Flowers) sometime too. I've never watched Barbie Xu's drama and I'm not a fan of her. But hey, I'm not a fan of Ella and I love DWL. But Vanness looks like a creeper! Blech. But Jerry Yan looks good. ;] & the plot reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club kinda. Not really. It's just the whole poor girl at rich school thing. Barbie Xu is good for the role actually. Her face looks the part? Haha, I don't know how you would explain it. :]

P.S. The date of the series finale of Autumn's Concerto has been extended to this weekend I believe. Sorry, I didn't fully understand. XD I believe this is what they were saying.

I'm Sorry AC & HMS

I'm not a loyal Autumn's Concerto or Hi My Sweetheart fan. I've said that I would not watch Down With Love but I did. And honestly, I think it might be better than Hi My Sweetheart and perhaps Autumn's Concerto. I can't say that this is my final thought though because I'm still at the beginning of DWL Plus, AC isn't a comedy while HMS and DWL are. I prefer comedies but AC is an exception. Xiao Xiao Bin is just adorable! Anyways, this is an update, not a Rainie blab entry! Ugh, I read a spoiler though. :/ Boooo.

P.S. I totally reccomend Down With Love! Watch it! Fall in love with it! ;D

Are You Down?

Well today I watched the first episode of Down With Love. I know I shouldn't be starting a new drama before I finish the others but I couldn't resist. I totally reccomend it based on what I've watched so far. Ella plays her character really well and Jerry Yan is like a sexier version of Ren Guang Xi. (Only Vanness can me Guang Xi but I'm just saying.) Xiao Xiao Bin (Xio Le in Autumn's Concerto) is adorable times 10000 because he's even younger in this drama. :]
Well Wanky Janky is going under construction but I'll keep updating. An "Update" will be posted every few days. Hopefully everyday but Sunnie and I are busy. Sunnie hopefully will be able to post most more books reviews and hopefully I will start on book reviews. Manga reviews will soon be up so don't worry. Well that's pretty much it. I really really really want to talk about Down With Love though. Hmm, maybe I'll get a tumblr or livejournal? E-mail me at wankyjanky@yahoo.com if you think that's a good or bad idea. :] E-mail us if you want us to add something to our blog or get ride of something. We love feedback! :] If you're e-mailing Sunnie please make sure to put "Sunnie: " and same for me, Rainie. If it's a general e-mail to both of us then just put the subject. Thanks!
P.S. I will try to keep Updates as short as possible!

Skip Beat Drama?! Yes Yes Yes!

Ah well we really need to get started on manga reviews don't we eh? Here's a poorly made sneak peek video. ;]

Well I watched a Down With Love trailer and I want to watch it! I'm not an Ella fan but maybe this drama can prove me wrong? Well I still need to finish Hana Kimi (halfway through first episode) so I'll keep my opinions on Ella in a corner until I finish her dramas. Well, I'm off!
Oh and if you didn't know, we're going under major construction.

NEWS: Omg this might be old news but it's new news to me! A Skip Beat Taiwanese drama! Omfg yes! It's called Extravagant Challenge (華麗的挑戰)!
-Joe Cheng was rumored to have been confirmed to star in it along with Ariel Lin (my favorite TW actress) but apparently they both withdrawled from the drama. Ariel quit due to unfair treatment. :/ I think it would have been the most amazing cast imagined for Skip Beat. They are the most perfect couple and I would love to see them again after ISWA, TKA and Love or Bread.
-I've also read that Jerry Yan will be replacing Joe Cheng and Wu Zun will be in it as well. That kinda makes up for it but I would still prefer having Ariel Lin as female lead and Joe Ceng as male lead.
-I'm asuming Wu Zun would play Sho. For Sho (the opposing male lead) I was more thinking of Jiro Wang or Shoe Luo. But whatever, as long as they come up with a decent cast then I'm happy. ;]

This was better than when I found out Lego Li was in the drama Because Of You (星光下的童話)! And that made me sooo happy but this makes me even happier! OMG! I'm probably scaring you aren't I? o.O I must decide whether to wait for the drama or actually finish reading the manga. (The manga is confusing for me.. D;) Hopefully the drama won't ruin the manga and vice versa. Now, if only a TW Drama is made for Fruits Basket, Special A, Ouran High School Host Club, Vampire Knight or Death Note. I might possible cry of happiness. (There's nothing wrong with K or J dramas but I don't understand Korean or Japanese so it's not as good.)

P.S. I have my fingers crossed that Ariel Lin and Joe Ceng are going to be in it! Especially Ariel Lin!

General Winston's Daughter- Sharon Shinn

General Winston's Daughter- Sharon Shinn

Product Description:

Averie is thrilled to visit Chiarrin, a colonized land her father oversees as general of the Aebrian military. As the foreign rhythms of her new life sweep her along, the general's daughter begins to question the ethics and wisdom of colonial governance, depicted as a rough parallel to British rule during empire days. She delves into the culture, strains against the fussy restraints of her era and social class, and finds herself drawn to an officer of non-Aerbrian descent. But it is an interesting young woman from the marketplace, Jalessa, who truly opens a window into Chiarrizi culture. As political resistance begins to threaten colonial rule, security becomes tighter, tensions rise, and the plot culminates in some rather shocking events. But Shinn, an author who smoothly crosses back and forth between adult and YA fantasy audiences, skillfully shepherds her tale to a satisfying, believable conclusion. This thoughtful romance with political overtones will prove irresistible to many readers.

Review:

You know those books that, after you read them, always seem to pop back up in your mind? This was definately one of those.
(I actually read this book like 3 years ago but I really wanted to share how awesome it was!)

Set in time that many other books also share, I didn't really think that it would be able to set itself apart. However, this book blew me away with its haunting values. The ending was completely unexpected, (Well at least for me.) and usually I would have thought it was over the top crazy, but it wasn't.

Putting it simply I haven't read it in forever but I am always thinking about it now and then. I think it had very cool depth and worth your time. It also has some lovely romance in it as well ;)

P.S. This author has some other amazing books out there as well. If you liked this one, check some of the others out later!

Top Combine

(Random Picture Comment: I like the two on the left side the most. Actually I like all of them but one. The one on the right top is too girly for my likings.. XD)

Well I'm kinda sick of listening to Fahrenheit all the time so I've been looking for different mandopop boy bands. Lollipop (Bang Bang Tang) is pretty good but ehh. Well I came across "Top Combine" today. They're pretty good....and pretty. :] Hahaha I'm not shallow but hey! You know that it's you're the same. :P I'm having trouble telling who is who though. That's why I hate listening to a new band (especially Asian because I can't tell who's who. XD And it's not racist coming from an Asian...kinda.) or a new drama (again, usually Asian) or manga. I have trouble recognizing faces. Well, I'm off to listen to my iPod! Oh I'm probably not going to watch Autumn's Concerto for a while, I just don't want it to end yet. :/ I'm still on the last episode of ISWAK, haha. Even though there's a sequel, I don't want to end it yet. The ending of Hi My Sweetheart was kind of sh*tty so I'm kind of upset.

P.S. Anyone read the manga or mahwa or wahtever "Boy of The Female Wolf"? Well I found Vietnamese raws (yeah I know, not in English, doesn't help. Hey looking at the pictures aren't that bad. I was confused though haha. I couldn't wait for an english version to come out though!) up to book 17 I believe. I don't know how many there are... Hmm.

P.P.S. Taylor Swift does really bad in Valentine's Day. :/ She used to be my favorite singer but not so much anymore. She really should stick to singing though, acting isn't her thing. Just saying.

Autumn's Conceto V.S. Fated To Love You

Autumn's Concerto's ratings dropped. :/ Episode 18 was its peak at 8.23 and then plop came episode 19 at 7.67. It's the second highest rated TW drama right now, under Fated To Love You. Well the last episode is coming up and it doesn't seem that Autumn's Concerto has a chance of beating FTLY. Even in my heart I'm unsure which one is better. My top fives shuffle around all the time so yeahh. :] I haven't watched episode 19 yet but I'm sad that episode's 20 is coming up. The last episode. Sigh. The end of AC. :/ I think I'm going to watch Down With Love after I finish Miss No Good. (I'm on the last episode.) Haha, I haven't finished FTLY either! Or ISWAK, Brown Sugar Macchiato, ToGetHer and a whole bunch of dramas. I'm probably going to end up having to rewatch them. XD Watching Xiao Xiao Bin as some other woman's child might be weird though. Xiao Le, Mu Chen and Guang Xi forever. :]

I really want to watch a K or J drama but I don't know which one to watch. E-mail me suggestions if you like at wankyjanky@yahoo.com Please put "Rainie: K/J Dramas" as the subject so I know what it is. :]

A new drama that has caught my eye is "Because of You". It stars Baron Chen and Megan Lai. At first when I was reading the summary I was reminded of the plot to ToGetHer and how similar is sounded...kinda. I decided that I might watch it and when I was scanning the cast list a name popped out. Lego Li. Ahhhh! So I'm determined to watch this drama. :] I don't know where yet though. o.O

P.S. I've started a new manga called Special A Well not it's not a "new" manga but it's new to me. :] I need to start working on manga reviews don't I? Augh! Originally this blog was to be dedicated to book reviews. Then I added on a whole bunch of other things. :] I still need to do a book review don't I?

Random Picture Caption: "One of the best episodes of one of the best TW dramas. :]"

Xiao Xiao Bin Is On A Role

Xiao Xiao Bin & his brother, Mini Bin. Aww!!! Mini Bin is the one on the left by the way. They're both adorable! He is also the number one most watched drama star with Autumn's Concerto and the new series "Down With Love". Vanness Wu and Jerry Yan battle it out though. They both play lawyers and are the original F4 members. Currently, Vanness is winning. Go Autumn's Concerto! I'm thinking of giving Down With Love a try though, Xiao Xiao Bin is so cute, I want to see him when he was even younger. He's currently working on a new drama as well, I forgot what it's call though... I'll post as soon as I remember. But apparently he isn't close to the cast as he's close to Autumn's Concerto. Awwww.
And I never knew Vanness Wu had a twitter. Huh. But here's the link! (Hopefully...it's real and not some creeper!)
http://twitter.com/VanNessVanwu

NEWS:

Well the raitings for Autumn's Concerto have been amazing. But that's because the drama is amazing. ;] Chris Wu did a dive of 7 meters to show his appreciation. Originally it was only 3 meters but he bumped it up and was planned to jump off the Bitan but it was illegal so instead, he jumped at a local swimming pool. Plus he took of this shirt, ahahaha. (Isn't as impressive as Vanness but hey, give him credit for his dive.) He yelled "I'm doing this for "Next Stop!" and jumped. He also reported that if the drama's ratings break 10% this week, Ady An will do a pole dance. (She was busy filming her new drama in Mainland so she was not there for the dive. Vanness though, made it. [He was previously in the U.S.])

The drama that was set to premire this year has been delayed. Barbie Xsu's, Peter Ho's and Huang Xiao Min's (♥♥♥) drama "Summer's Desire" is having some problems apparently. The network is worried about their age (all in their early 30's) and Huang Xiao Min's cost.
Rainie's (the blogger) Comment: "I really wanted to watch this after Autumn's Concerto but I guess not. :/)

My Top Fives

I didn't watch any dramas today, too lazy. I'm still bitter over the fact that Xue Hai never returned. Not even for the last episode. :( Okay, that's the last time I will ever mention that again. Promise. Autumn's Concerto though, was amzing. Well today I thought I should share with you my top 5 of TW dramas and celebrities.
Random Picture Caption: I think when guys wear glasses (either squared rimmed or nerd glasses) they look hot. Hahahaha, here's Aaron Yan and Jiro Wang. ;]

RAINIE'S TOP 5....
(these are not in any order.)

Dramas:
1. Autumn's Concerto
2. Fated To Love You
3. Hi My Sweetheart
4. It Started With A Kiss
5. Brown Sugar Macchiato

Prettiest Female Celebrities (Asian):
1. Ady An (I think she's just beautiful. I could just be biased though with Autumn's)
2. Ariel Lin* (She's my favorite and I just think she's super pretty.)
3. Song Hye Kyo (No need to explain... I think we all agree yes?)
4. Athena Chu (She's not as young as the others but she's still pretty.)
5. Cyndi Wang* (I think she's gorgeous...)
(& Hebe Tian! Jolin Tsai! Joe Chen!* But they didn't make the cut. :/ )

Prettiest Female Celebrities (Asian) That I Don't Get:
1. Ella Chen** (In some photos she looks like a boy. Not all the time but some of them)
2. Vicki Zhou** (She's pretty in a unique way... but still.)
3. Tiffany Xu** (She's Euroasian but she still counts I think. She's really really really pretty in
Autumn's but not so much ISWAK.)

I'm Sad

Well there's no more Hi My Sweetheart. :( Apparently the directors would have made this series longer if they would have known it would get such high ratings but it's too late for that now. The last episode was only 45 minutes long. There's only two more episodes of Autumn's Concerto before its finally over. That makes me even sadder. I honestly don't think that there can be a drama that can ever meet Autumn's Concerto standards. But hey, that's what everyone thought about many dramas (such as ISWAK & Fated To Love You) and then Autumn's Concerto came out. What makes me happy though, is that Xiao Xiao Bin is the number one most watched idol star on tv. :] He deserves it! But I've also heard that this is effecting his childhood which makes me sad again. I think Autumn's Concerto might be the best drama of the decade. :] We'll see how Down To Love does.

NEWS:

Chai Zhi-Ping, the producer of Hi My Sweetheart, is already working on new dramas! One of them will star Wilbur Pan (she casted him for Miss No Good) and another will star no other than Hi My Sweetheart's Show Luo. She is working with two Korean writers to bring some pizazz! Another upcoming drama of her's will star Kingone Wang (Black & White) as a rich boy. The drama is rumored to have 60 episodes and called "Xiao Ju's Spring". She is working with Shenzhen TV in mainland China on this drama.

Rainie's (the blogger) Reaction:

I can't wait! Wilbur Pan was pretty good in Miss No Good and anything with Sho Luo in it, I'll be watching! Hope the producer and director doesn't cut these dramas short like they did with Hi My Sweetheart. The one starring Kingone Wang doesn't sound too bad, I like my dramas long and not lagging. 60 episodes is satisfying. :]

Down With Love VS Autumn's Concerto

Yuup, it's Sunday which means NEW Hi My Sweetheart and Autumn's Concerto. And Down With Love! The F4 members, Jerry Yan & Vanness, are going to have to battle it out!
Well today is the last of Hi My Sweetheart. I haven't watched it yet but I'm pretty sure it's going to be a happy ending. I'm most likely not going to watch Down With Love, even if Xiao Xiao Bin is in it. I don't like Ella Chen. Go ahead, hate me, IDGAF. Just kidding but I'm not the biggest fan of Ella Chen or SHE. Just putting that out there, please don't hate me? Plus if Down With Love is as good as many people are saying that it can rival Autumn's Concerto, I'll watch it and Autumn's Concerto might lose. Nooo, I can't do that so I refuse. Autumn's Concerto MUST be the best drama ever. Even though ISWAK and Fated To Love You are very close to pushing Autumn's Concerto off its peak in my heart.

Aaron Yan & Gui Gui VS Wang Zi & Gui Gui

So I watched episode 11 of Brown Sugar Macchiato. Really touching. I love Gui Gui, she is so weird and cute. She has to be my favorite drama actress after Ariel Lin. (They look similar too I think...) Ya Tou though, is my favorite character in Brown Sugar Macchiato. This episode has to be one of the best episode so far. (For me at least.) Really cute and sad. I've also started to watch the Mysterious Incredible Terminator (MIT). Aaron Yan, ahh. Oh yeah, he's my new favorite Fahrenheit member. Of course Wu Chun is still very dear to me but he's getting old. (He's pushing it at 30) Aaron Yan though is the youngest member of Fahrenheit. ^_^ And he's cutest. Anyways, I think I like Wang Zi & Gui Gui together. (I'm not talking about realy life because I have no idea if they ever dated.) And Aaron can be miiiine! JK JK. Oh well I'm not going to be able to be blogging much due to school stuff. Just a head's up!
