'K, so I finished Phantom of the Opera!!.....and it took me two and a half weeks to read. Hopefully you guys can now see why I chose only 4 books for the entire summer break.
Anywho, the book was really surprising. As in so, so, so much different than the movie (the one with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler). It is a mystery to me above anything else so it was full of "What the devil is going on?" So I thought it was okay. Definately was perfectly creepy though.
One thing that bothered me was that the only description I got about the phantom was fiery eyes, no nose, and the feel of death about him. O.o If I hadn't seen the movie then I would have said that he's just some kind of skeleton.
In the end, I still prefer the movie, I mean really, it's hard to compete with the music eh?
Now I'm off to capture Wuthering Heights, and maybe watch the PBS version of the movie. But just for the record, 1939 movie with was amazing. Mostly because of Laurence Olivier ;)
