Blood Promise- Richelle Mead

Product description:
It kind of stands to reason that the first book review I would do is of one of my favorite books right? Therefore, Blood Promise review time!! I love this series. I have this special list in my head of books that, when asked to reccomend a book, the list pops forth. This series is one of them. The plot is so intruging and one that never fails to make me cry. A lot. Most importantly however, are of the characters and how strong and hilarious they are! Especially the main character. Trying her best to keep, Lissa, her best friend safe, training with a teacher to actually be able to make her safe, and her own problems that threaten everything she worked for. Add to that feelings for incredibly hot and forbidden for said teacher arise. It is about vampires, yes, but for the people out there, who cringe when they hear the word "vampire" uttered and think of the idiocy of it all, or those who think vampires are overrated and cliche; please do try this book. The ideas are completely original (or as original as I've read, and I have read quite a few books) and the series as a whole is completely amazing. Enjoy!

Rating: 3

This book had such promise with a plot like that. However, I don't think it quite met it. At times, the way things came together was outrageous and didn't make much sense. Nothing like people's reactions, it was more like how the story moved along. But, the book had interesting turning points and some moments were so spot on that I think it deserved a 3.
